Complete Exterior Remodeling Contractor Solutions For Monroe, NC Homeowners
Solid Track Record, Accountable Crews, Straightforward Results
Our remodeling contractor services in Monroe, NC cover four exterior categories under one roof: roofing, siding, windows and doors, and new construction.
We assign a dedicated project lead to each job, set expectations in writing before work begins, and hold the finished work to those terms.
Every project starts with a thorough property walkthrough. We document existing conditions, flag anything that affects the adjacent trade, and sequence the work so each phase is ready for the next.

Roofing Services In Monroe, NC
Our roofing services in Union County, NC begin with a full attic and deck assessment before any material is ordered.
We check for soft decking, verify drip edge alignment, and confirm that ridge ventilation matches the shingle manufacturer’s intake-to-exhaust ratio requirements.
Every installation is tied back to code and to the manufacturer’s spec. That keeps the warranty intact and the finished roof performing through the full range of seasonal weather here.
More Roofing Services

Roof Replacement
We pull back existing layers to assess the deck and re-flash every penetration and valley. Underlayment goes down lapped to the manufacturer’s spec before a single shingle is placed.
What you stop worrying about:
- A roofline that reads patchy from the street
- Shingle blow-off during wind events
- Water tracing behind the fascia
Once the work wraps up, you’re left with a roof that holds its profile and keeps water where it belongs for years without a callback.
Roof Repair
We identify the actual failure point first: lifting flashing, a cracked boot, or a nail pop working through the underlayment. We address that source before touching any visible surface, because the drip rarely lands where the damage started.
Here is what changes after the repair:
- A repair that blends with the surrounding field
- Flashing seated tight at every transition
- No new stains on interior ceilings
Catching the real source means the fix lasts, instead of surfacing again in the next heavy rain.
Gutters
We size and pitch each gutter run to the roof’s square footage and slope. Hangers fasten to the fascia using a hidden bracket system, so the profile stays straight and doesn’t pull away from the board over time.
The lasting benefit:
- Downspouts clearing water far from the foundation
- Clean fascia boards season after season
- No overflow pooling at the drip line
Properly pitched, well-anchored gutters protect the foundation and the siding below the roofline without drawing attention to themselves.

Siding Services In Monroe, NC
Siding replacement is rarely just a panel swap. Our remodeling contractor crews in Union County, NC pull back cladding, inspect the house wrap, and re-flash window headers before new panels go on.
Material choice matters in this climate. We discuss vinyl, fiber cement, and engineered wood options based on the home’s structure, exposure, and what the homeowner wants to maintain over time.
Getting the substrate right is what separates a siding job that holds for decades from one that shows moisture damage inside five years.

Windows & Doors In Monroe, NC
Every window and door opening functions as its own small weatherproofing system. Air sealing, load transfer, and water management all happen in the same few inches of frame. Our remodeling contractor crews treat each opening with that in mind.
We verify rough opening dimensions and apply self-adhering flashing tape at the sill and jamb legs. Then we confirm the unit fits the manufacturer’s installation tolerances before securing the frame.
That process keeps drafts, condensation, and water infiltration out of the equation after installation is complete.
More Windows & Doors Services

Replacement Windows
We measure each opening independently. Rough openings in older homes rarely match, and a window forced into a tight frame loses its weatherstrip seal within a season or two.
What that precision buys you:
- Fewer cold spots radiating off the glass in winter
- Fewer drafts along the interior window trim
- Quieter rooms on windy or rainy days
A properly sized, properly flashed window holds its air seal long after the install crew has moved on.
Replacement Doors
Door replacement covers more than the slab itself. We address the threshold, the door jamb, the weather stripping, and the head flashing as a unit. The finished opening is airtight and square in all four seasons.
Where it shows up:
- A threshold seal that holds through every season
- Weather that stays outside where it belongs
- Hinges and latch that line up on the first try
When the frame, the slab, and the threshold work together, the door performs consistently from the first day forward.

New Construction Services In Monroe, NC
New construction exterior work depends on sequencing that ties roofing, siding, and windows together in the right order. Our remodeling contractor crews coordinate each exterior phase so no trade has to redo what the previous one finished.
We align material deliveries to the build schedule and confirm that rough opening framing meets window and door unit specs before they arrive. Roofing components go in at the correct sequence relative to the wall assemblies below.
That coordination prevents the small misalignments on a new build that show up as callbacks six months after the handoff.

How Southern Exteriors Delivers Expert Remodeling Contractor Services In Monroe, NC
A Track Record Built On Straight Answers And Finished Work
Replacing a roof, re-siding a house, or putting in new windows are not small calls. Each one affects how your home holds up, what it costs to maintain, and what buyers see if you ever sell.
That is why the way a contractor handles the details matters as much as the materials they use. We run jobs with documented estimates, defined line items, and a single crew that sees the work from start to finish.
Because the work we put into writing is the work we do, homeowners do not spend the job chasing down answers or wondering what changed.
- Consistency, Not Coincidence – The same approach applies whether your project touches one trade or all four. Values we put in writing are documented and followed, not reinvented on-site.
- Material Choices Backed By Research – We don’t guess at what holds up in this climate. Every product we install comes from a short list of vetted brands, chosen for long-term performance.
- Installers Who’ve Seen The Failure Points – Most callbacks trace back to a detail that got rushed the first time. Our experienced crews know where those points are and don’t skip them.
- A Project Built Around Your Goals – Multi-trade projects create more room for priorities to get lost in scheduling. We work as advocates who keep your goals in view to keep that from happening.
- A Culture That Outlasts Any One Job – Crews who take pride in the work tend to stick around and keep doing it. That’s the foundation of our family-first culture, reflected in every project we close out.
At Southern Exteriors, every remodeling contractor project in Monroe, NC runs the same way: a clear written estimate, one crew, and no invoice surprises.

Trust me with 40 windows we shopped….
What a great company! I live on a busy road and these windows have cut the sound out! Already seeing a drop in my ac bill as well. Best part were the installers, kind, quick, just good people. The price can’t be beat! Trust me with 40 windows we shopped.
I will definitely use them again….
Great service and great people. Gabriel came out and I explained my worries and concerns. He went up on the roof and found out the gutter had a blocked downspout. He cleared it out and said all fixed. I would highly recommend Southern Exteriors and Gabriel. I will definitely use them again. Thanks
As you will see in the pictures, the end product…
We had the original cedar siding replaced on our house (1960 Ranch). The original cedar shakes were 17" with a 14" reveal and we wanted to go with fiber cement board in the widest possible plank format. Our sales person and project manager let us know about the James Hardie, Cedar Mill, siding in the 12" format with a 10 ¾" reveal. It was exactly what we were looking for. This particular format enabled us to maintain as much of the period look as possible. Along with re-flashing the window frames and also painting, the project could not have turned out any better. We have already had many of our friends and neighbors ask about who did the work and what kind of siding we chose... and we're happy to let them know about Southern Exteriors. In particular, our project manager, who was also the sales person we worked with, went above and beyond in his efforts to both accurately quote the project and also have it finish as close to the forecasted time as was reasonable. He was the only person from the three companies we approached for quotes to spend time in our crawlspace and attic, and was the only person to actually removed original shingles to confirm what lay beneath. As you will see in the pictures, the end product was worth the money.
