What Are Seamless Gutters?

Have you noticed leaks in your gutters during heavy rain? Are certain sections of your gutters sagging or overflowing? If so, consider switching to low-maintenance, leak-resistant seamless gutters.

Seamless gutters are, as the name implies, seamless. This means we manufacture them from a single piece of custom-made material for your home. Unlike traditional gutters, they are not put together in sections and do not require sealing at any of the joints. They come in various standard materials, including aluminum, steel, and copper. They are long-lasting, leak-resistant, and low maintenance.

Regular gutters must be frequently maintained because they are manufactured in short pre-cut sections that are assembled together. Additionally, the joints between each section must be sealed with a sealant that usually only lasts one to five years.

Choosing seamless gutters over regular gutters has many benefits:

  • Low Maintenance: Seamless gutters are less prone to backups or clogs since there are no joints or seams to trap debris. So they do not need regular cleaning and require less professional maintenance overall. If you add leaf guards to your gutters, you decrease the likelihood of blockages even more.
  • Fewer leaks and damage: With no joints to seal, you have less chance of leaks and increased protection against water damage for your home. In a traditional gutter, the joints usually form where the gutter sags and pulls away from the house. With no joints and proper maintenance, a seamless gutter should never sag or pull away.
  • Long Lifespan: Seamless gutters can easily last over 20 years, with low maintenance. In comparison, a typical sectional gutter must be re-sealed every one to five years.
  • Curb Appeal: Seamless gutters are customized to your home and have a smooth, finished appearance. Not only do they add a more polished touch to your home’s exterior, but there are also no unsightly sags or overflowing bulges and leaks to worry about. There are a wide variety of design options to bring the look of your home together.

A few things are important for you to know if you are considering seamless gutters. They will be more expensive upfront. However, since they last longer and require less maintenance, they will cost less over time. Seamless gutters must be professionally installed. They are professionally formed and cut on-site using a professional-grade machine. In other words, you cannot DIY seamless gutters. Lastly, since you cannot fix a single section like you can on traditional gutters, any repair due to storm damage will involve the entire gutter.

The benefits of seamless gutters outweigh the higher cost. Seamless gutters can provide a long-lasting, hassle-free, low-maintenance gutter system while upgrading your home’s curb appeal.
